DECADES OF COUNTRY: A Country Music Variety Show
We cherish the rich tapestry of country music, woven with stories, emotion, and timeless melodies. Our mission is to connect (or re-connect) fans with both classic and contemporary songs and artists. Each song is thoughtfully curated, inviting you to indulge in the beauty of country music culture. DOC is committed to providing an authentic concert-level experience which features the best and most well-known songs from the "who's-who" of country music across seven decades....from Johnny Cash, Roger Miler and Tammy Wynette....to Garth Brooks, Florida-Georgia Line and Zac Brown Band. A DECADES OF COUNTRY concert is not just about the music, it's a communal and immersive celebration of American heritage.

Discover The Band
When GREAT TRIBUTE BANDS decided to create a country music variety show, the mandate was (as is the case with all the GTB shows) to create a truly authentic show. While it would have been easy to simply fill every position with members of other GTB bands, making it authentic meant finding musicians and vocalists who were authentic country musicians and singers. With a Kentucky-born male lead singer who oozes country music, a female lead singer who is a Nashville recording artist, an accomplished country fiddle player of 20+ years, a drummer straight out of Nashville, a Texas-born pianist who spent years performing in Nashville.....well, it's safe to say that goal was met...and so we introduce the band:

With a lifelong passion for country music, this son of a coalminer's daughter and product of a traveling family country & gospel band, Ken was born in the hills of Southern Kentucky and age 18 sang at Carnegie Hall before joining the United States Marines. While he has been an in-demand rock vocalist since moving to Florida, and is currently the frontman for several concert-level tribute shows (BEAUTIFUL LOSER...The Bob Seger Concert Experience, THE ALLMAN REVIVAL) Ken could not be more excited to finally sing the songs that mean the most to him...the ones he grew up with, the ones that influenced him in so many ways, the ones he has been singing at sound checks and on long drives to shows for years...but has, until now, rarely had the opportunity to perform for an audience.

Alison comes from a musical family and has been singing as far back as she can remember. Selected to perform for the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra Children's Choir at age 10, she went on to win numerous awards for singing in high school before re-locating to Nashville where she performed for years and among other things, recorded a country album with Nashville producer and singer/songwriter Steve Rutledge. Comfortable with many musical styles, she is first a foremost a country singer and DOC is thrilled to have her involved.

Born in NY and a graduate of Boca Raton HS, Lou has been a part of the South Florida music scene for several decades. In addition to his role as Musical Director with DECADES OF COUNTRY, Lou is a founding member of, and the Musical Director for all the GREAT TRIBUTE BAND bands. A versatile guitarist and lifelong guitar teacher, Lou is a "guitar players guitar player" comfortable with many styles and after several years with a Florida-based country band during the 2010's, Lou is excited to once again be playing country music.

Born in Ontario Canada, Scott has been listening to country music since he was a child and joined his first country band in 1985 after moving to Florida. Initially interested in piano, by age 10 he began guitar lessons and has been playing ever since. Scott is a valued member of several other GREAT TRIBUTE BANDS and is a well-known and well-respected musician in the vibrant South Florida music scene, working with several of the best known and most accomplished bands in that region.

In short...Anderson is the consummate country music fiddle player. With a deep love for country music, Anderson is an accomplished fiddle player who has spent the past 20+ years performing with notable country bands in Brazil, where according to the former President of Sony Music... country music is "half of the music consumed in Brazil". Anderson has made national TV appearances and was Winner of the Brazilian TV talent show "Astros" while performing with a country band.

Born into a musical family in Oklahoma, raised in Texas and New Mexico, Valerie brings her passion for country music and storytelling to DECADES OF COUNTRY. Singing 3-part harmonies behind her Dad in church and learning flute in high school and saxophone as a music major in college she was now a musical triple threat. While living in Nashville, she performed 7-nights a week on riverboats for several years before moving to Florida where she has been an in-demand working musician for years, including her long tenure with WE ARE YACHT ROCK® and ONE HIT WONDERS....both successful GTB bands.

Originally from San Antonio, TX and playing drums since age 9, Tige got his first paying gig at age 12 playing country music with a trio of military veterans. Over the years he has shared the stage with country music stars like Marc Chestnut, Tracy Byrd & Hal Ketchum and for 14 years called Nashville his home while working with iconic producers Michael Wagener & Keven Beamish and touring the U.S.

As the founder of GREAT TRIBUTE BANDS, DECADES OF COUNTRY and all the other GTB bands....Tom is also the bass player in all those, and several other, bands across a variety of genres. A member of Long Island's legendary blues/rock trio PHIL VARCA & The SlamJammers for the past 25+ years, he has also released two original albums in recent years with Florida-based pop/punk bands while forming, managing and performing 100+ shows annually with his GTB bands. Growing up on Long Island, NY country music was not part of his musical childhood but as a lifelong "bluesman", and a more recent fan of country music, he recognized the similarities in the two genres: country music and blues share deep roots in American culture...both genres originating in the Southern US and deeply embedded in American history. Both genres have a storytelling tradition and use simple musical structures and common chord progressions. These similarities allow for a natural crossover between the two styles and Tom could not be more excited to perform this amazing music with this talented and authentic group of musicians.
